Entry Requirements:
- Applicant must be at least 17 years of age. Proof of date of birth must be submitted (Driver's License or Photo ID)
- Grade 12 education is mandatory and we will require a copy of your transcripts, unless applying as a Mature Student
- For students whose first language is not English the Manitoba Apprenticeship Branch recommends a Canadian language benchmark of 6 or higher to successfully become a certified Aesthetician-Nail technician or electrologist. Proof of benchmark level may be required on enrollment.
- A registration fee of $100.00 is required upon enrolling
Dress Code:
- Students must maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Standard white uniform, cleaned and pressed at all times
- Black pants
- Students may wear a plain black or white t-shirt underneath the standard white uniform
- Black or neutral stockings or pantyhose
- Black, closed-toed shoes with a maximum 2-inch heel, scuff-free and polished at all times
- No jewelry is to be worn on the hands or wrists and earrings must be of a conservative size and style
- Hair and make-up are to be worn and/or styled in a conservative fashion appropriate for daytime
Graduation
After successful completion of your course of study, you will receive a Giselle's School of Aesthetics diploma.
Apprenticeship
Nail Technicians are required to serve a one-year apprenticeship upon completion of studies.
Aestheticians are required to serve a two-year apprenticeship upon completion of studies.
Examinations as required under The Apprenticeship and Trades Qualification Act and Regulations are a part of the apprenticeship program.
